Mumbai is the heart of Maharashtra and is one of the biggest cities in India, in terms of population. As of 2015, 52% of commuters used public transport for commuting daily. Mumbai also has the largest organized bus transport network among all the major Indian cities. After the local trains, the most easily accessible form of public transport is the public buses. These public buses are all operated by Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST)- an autonomous body working under the Mumbai Municipal Corporation. BEST runs their buses all over Mumbai and outskirts like Navi Mumbai, Thane and Mira-Bhayandar. Since 2019, BEST runs special Tejaswini livery buses, which are in yellow and pink colour specially for women passenger. We take pride in being an organization that keeps the city of Mumbai - a city that never sleeps - running. We provide contractual buses to Brihan Mumbai Municipal Corporation. BEST has a fleet of single, double decker buses and air-conditioned Tata Macropolo CNG mini buses, many of which are leased by us. SMT ATPL Associates, a firm that started off as a small organization of about 500 employees is running, today, with more than 1650 employees, all dedicated to ensure smooth daily commute to the passionate people of Mumbai.
